I'm Only Joking!

30/31.10.08

Wan Sin sent me a sms (on 30.10).

And the content is as below:

This is DIGI special gift for every DIGI user.
Just send this message to another 10 DIGI user and you'll get RM50 free automatic.

I always receives this kind of sms.

99 out of 100 of it were scams.

Frankly speaking, I didn’t believe this kind of message anymore since I had been “scammed” several times (due to avarice).

But still, I wanna try my luck this time.

So, I sent it to other 1o people.

It seemed 9 of them didn’t even want to bother about the sms.

Whereas, Andy who was one of the 10 people I mentioned above, acted kinda…extreme.

He replied that he was annoyed to receive this kind of sms.

Plus, he said I’m very “cheap” (by sending this kind of sms to somebody).

At the time, I felt bloody angry with his remarks.

This is because first of all, I dun think this kind of sms will do harm to anyone.

It just depends whether you want to send it to another 10 people.

Furthermore, it doesn’t contain any curse, like if u dun send this message to another 10 people, you will be out of luck.

.
.
.

Suddenly, there was a BIG idea (wicked PRANK) coming from my head.

It was about trying to trick Andy into believing this message and indeed sending this sms to 10 other people.

Somehow, I just wanna be mischievous this time.

So, I replied I had already received the RM50 by forwarding this message to another 10 people.

And I asked him to believe me and do it faster becuz the offer was valid for 2 days only.

Guessed what?

He believed it.

WA HA HA HA HA!

The next morning (31.10), he asked me why he didn’t received that RM50 though he had sent the sms to 10 people.

And I replied happily that I lied to him.

Soon, I deeply regretted what I had done.

It seemed he was rather fed up with me.

He said he had to explain to those 10 people and this was all because of my bullshit,

n emphasized I had totally “betrayed” our friendship by telling such a lie (sound very serious).

.
.
.
.
.
.
(after a deep thought)

Maybe this time I was a little over.

So, I replied him with a message of apology.

Hopefully he can forget about what I’d done and forgive me.

Hey, buddy.

I was only joking.

No hard feeling, k?

Add Drop Week.

26 & 27th .10.08

27th of this month was really a big day to me.

Cuz it was the day when the Add Drop Week was going to start.

It was kinda scary cuz it was my first time to add courses through the internet.

I have no idea how’s the situation going to be.

Was the line going to be congested with tons of applicants?

Or,

If I could successfully add all the courses that I wanted to add.

Full of question marks.

7.3pm, June, Jian Ning, Keong and I left for DKG5 after taking our dinner n bath.

Some of us brought a lot of things, likes books, papers, pens, multiple socket, water and even food.

Seemed like going to live in Africa for months.

LOL

Luckily there was just a few people there when we arrived.

Quickly, we sat at somewhere near the socket and “set up” our laptop.

At 8pm, Alex, Cai Li and Pih Ling turned up.

There were 4 hours left before 12am.

So during that 4 hours, some of us were relaxing by playing games, watching movie, eating and chatting, while some were still busy with their timetable.

I was one of the latter one.

When I was almost finished, suddenly Sam and Kieth showed up.

I ended up following their timetable (since my timetable couldn’t meet most of their demands).

I thought the problems were solved there and I could simply sit down, relax and wait for add-drop.

However, problems arose when we found that Sam hadn’t updated the course timetable yet.

So we had to arrange the timetable once again.

Really troublesome!

So it took us another hour to get our timetable ready.

Huh!

Time went by.

.
.
.

One minute before 12am, all of us were counting down.

Once it came to 12am, I quickly key in the code of Financial Management (the utmost important course for my next sem).

I was so glad tt the course has been successfully updated!

Everything was going smooth at first.

However, soon after several adding, the speed of the line had become bloody slow.

And I found that some groups of courses that I intended to add had become full.

Quickly I moved to plan B.

Again, FULL.

Plan C.

Again, FULL.

After several tries, finally, there was only one course left.

I thought at last I could make it.

THANKS to the goddamn super slow line, half of an hour had passed (I heard tt the portal would only open for ½ hour for add-drop).

By then, none of us could log in anymore.

Haiz!

(Cai Li and Alex were waiting patiently to log in again)

But we never gave in to the goddamn super slow line, we kept on trying and trying…until finally miracle appeared!

Nano could log in!

(Nano with his laptop)

So all of us used Nano’s laptop to add our courses.

Thanks god!

We finally made it.

All of us were over the moon.

Though my timetable wasn’t arranged as I wished, I really appreciate what I got now cuz many of my friends couldn’t even add any course.

It’s about 3.3am when we finally finished adding all the courses.

Finally we could go back to our room to have a good sleep.

zzzzzz

2 Things I’ve Learned Today!

19.10.08

Today, Keong, Boon, Alex, Cai Li (Alex”s gf), Hamizan and I planned to go to Sport Complex to play badminton at 3.30pm.

However, Keong, Boon, Hamizan and I didn’t make it on time.

We arrived at the bus stop at about 3.40pm.

Once we arrived, we saw Alex and Cai Li were already there waiting for us.

At first, I didn’t sense the aura at the bus stop was a bit odd.

So, I kept on laughing and cracking jokes.
.
.
.
There were several buses passing and didn’t stop by.

Suddenly, Alex slammed his bag against the bench.

His act freaked me out (as I have never seen him acting like that before).

Soon, I could sense something was happening~~~

It seemed that he was fed up with the latecomers [(-us) who had procrastinated the plan].

In the end, Alex and Cai Li refused to go and left the bus stop.

Starting from that moment, I learned that time concept is really crucial.

And my first lesson was – BE PUNCTUAL.

Anyway, four of us didn’t want to spoil our mood.

So, we continued with our plan.

At last, we reached the Sport Complex at around 4.15pm.

After the badminton “match”, we changed to play Ping Pong.

If I’m not mistaken, I had not played Ping Pong for almost 10 years.

So, three of us, rookie, were counting on our coach – Hamizan who was the second runner-up of the “U” Ping Pong Competition, to teach us.

So, Ping-Pong was my second lesson for today.

Ping-Pong was a bit harder than I thought.

First of all, I learned how to grip the bat.

Secondly, I learned how to control the ball (toughest part).

Finally, I learned some tactics, eg : to smash.

Overall, I gave a “A” to Hamizan for teaching us Ping-Pong.

Cuz he was not “stingy” to teach us what he knew.

After the games, we headed to Convo Expo to have our dinner.

The atmosphere there was full of “Convo Feel”, just look at the pictures below:

Set up for the photo snapping - so "cool"!

RM1 charged for taking photo with the bears.

(Finally i could see the fountain flashing water at night. )

There were many graduates taking photo, I didn't snap them cuz the environment was too dark.

Looking at the scene made me imagine the situation when i'm going to graduate 2 n a half years later.

Huh!

By then, I must recall back what I had done today.

Aduh!

17.10.08

It’s 2.30am now.

I can’t believe that I am writing this blog right now.

All of my roommates are already asleep.

Guess what keep me awake?

The unbearable “PAIN”.

Yes, it’s my “best friend” - muscular rheumatism, come to visit me again.

I dunno what the hell is happening this time, the pain is just unbearable though I have taken in the pain killer.

I guess that my “best friend” has grown stronger now.

Now I’m just trying to distract my “attention” from the pain by typing this blog.

I do not mean to write this long.

So maybe later I will proceed to “dota”ing or do some revision to keep distracting my attention from the pain.

What I’m sure is that later I must go to the PKU to see the doctor.

Hopefully this time he will give me the right painkiller and right treament.

As a conclusion, I hope that whoever read this blog may start to take good care of their body.

Take me as the bad living example.

Dun simply let any part of your body get injured.

Luther Vandross

15.10.08

Today, I accidentally downloaded a song named “Dance with My Father”.

The song is performed by Luther Vandross, a singer that I had never heard before.

At first, I thought the song was so-so.

Out of my expectation, it was fantastic.

The lyric, rhyme, tone, plus the voice of the singer, everything about the song works so perfectly.

What I wanna emphasize here is the voice of Luther Vandross.

Three words to describe the voice of Luther.
Mellow, soft, and “man”.

It’s just hard to find another guy in this world with such voice.

So unique!

Here, I wanna introduce you guys to this song.

The song is dedicated to Vandross’ memory childhood dances with his father.

The video for this song features various celebrities alongside their fathers and other family members.

The most eye-catching pairs of “celebrities with fathers” sure is Beyonce with her father.

The song also won Luther his fourth and final award in the Best Male R&B Vocal Performance category.
Unfortunately, Luther Vandross died on July 1, 2005 at the age of 54.
The cause of his death was never publicly released.
What a loss to the Music Industry!

By the way, the release of the music video “Bye Bye” from Mariah Carey sees Luther's picture appear in the closing images.

His image was included as a tribute along with various other deceased people with whom Carey had collaborated with during her career.

Anyway, hope u guys enjoy listening to this song.

UNEXPECTED!

10.10.08

2.3pm, Nano, Alex, Boon, Keong and I went to Komplex Sukan to play badminton.

Unfortunately, there was a competition going on in the badminton court.

What an unexpected and disappointed news!

It was not worthy for us to go back to hostel cuz we had walked for such a long journey to the Komplex Sukan.

(guys with their bi)

(Look at that childish Nano - showing his double signals.)

So we changed our plan to cycling.

The seat of the mountain bicycle was too low to me.

The level of the seat couldn’t changed since it was screwed tightly.

Furthermore, the seat was too hard for my ass to handle.

My ass was ache and I had to suffer a relapse (I injured my pelvis a year ago).

During the cycling journey, we visited the Taman Rusa.

Though it has been 3 months since we came to UUM, we havn’t visited the Taman Rusa yet.

This was a good opportunity for us to get close to see the deers.

Look at the deers, how adorable they are!
(Boon - guy in green, threatening the deer not to move)

After cycling, Alex suggested to take a sauna.

We havn’t tried the sauna here before.

So everyone was eager to try.

(Sauna Room)
It cost us RM3 each person, including a towel and a short as well.

It was quite disgusting for us to wear the short since we dunno whether it was well cleaned.

Anyway, we still had to use it since we didn’t bring any of our personal towel and short.

It was a fresh experience to me as I have never had a sauna before.

By the end of the sauna, the sweat was pouring off me.

Huh!

I had become totally rejuvenated and refreshing.

You should try it if you are lazy to exercise.

It has been a crazy day!

Totally exhausted now.

Bad News!

08.10.08

Today, I heard the BAD NEWS second hand.

It was about the English for Communication 2 timetable.

Probably that I have to attend my Com2 classes from 14th Nov to 24th Dec.

That means that my A-Famosa Holiday Plan was probably going to be cancelled.

If that is really going to happen, I will be feeling ashamed to face my friends.

Cuz I hav promised them early that I will join this A-Famosa Holiday plan with 100% certainty.

Haiz!

Why Must “U” treat me like that?

Why?

Damned Bus!

4.10.08
Just in the blink of an eye, my holidays were over.

7.10pm, Bee took me to the bus terminal.
(Thanks, Bee)

When we arrived, I didn’t see anyone there yet.

But soon, people crowded the bus terminal.

There were only 10 of us who were going to take the bus back to UUM.

But how come there could be so many of people?

Here, I wanna say “Thanks” to our beloved friends.

Cuz they came to see us off (though there was a traffic jam due to “Balik Kerja” phenomena).

I hadn’t seen some of them for some time.

Most of them hav become prettier and more handsome.

Kambing is the one who has the most dramatic change.

Just looked at his hairstyle.

Simple yet fashionable.

We were chatting while waiting for the bus.

The bus supposed to come at 7.30pm.

But dunno what the hell was happening – the arrival of the bus was one and a half hours late.

Some of my friends intended to dine after saw us off.

However, they didn’t expected that the bus so damned late.

So, at the time they all had to “ikat perut” first.

At 9pm, the damned bus came.

After saying goodbye, our friends left and we were sitting inside the bus while waiting for the bus to take off.

Soon, we could feel the temperature inside the bus was rising.

Guess what happened?

The pipe of the air conditioner was broken.

So, the driver and his partners took another half hour to solve the problem.

At 9.30pm, the bus indeed took off.

Initially, I really thanked God for letting us take off.

However, seemed that God didn’t stand by our side.

Soon after one hour, the damned bus broke down again (in Gombak area).

Tiu Na Sing!

I really shoudn’t be rude.

But other than these three words, I dunno what words else can express my feeling at that time.

Really Tiu NA Sing!

The driver left us in a Mamak Restaurant called AL-Isian (if I’m not mistaken).
Girls were chatting happily.
Sin, and Mr. An - the most talkative person I hav ever met b4.

After an hour had passed, the bus came back to the restaurant to take us.

Walau eh!

11.30pm oredy.

“Bon voyage!”, I said to myself.

Lastly, our journey really became “Bon Voyage”.

We successfully arrived at UUM at 6am.
FINALLY!

Former Colleague Gathering

2.10.08

Today, Herman and I went to KL to meet Fei and Kit as we had promised.

We intended to meet them at 12pm at Timesquare.

However, we didn’t board the 10am bus (cuz Herman thought there would be another Mara bus coming at 10.15am).

Unfortunately, the Mara bus service was stopped during the Hari Raya Holiday.

We knew it at the last minute.

What to do?

We took the 11am bus.

There were a lot of people taking the bus.

Most of them were foreign workers.

I had to stop breathing while striving hard to board the bus,
cuz the strong smell from the foreign worker was Be Tahan.

Yuk! What a smell!

For goodness sake, Plz buy a DEO.

We reached our destination at 1pm.

At first, we met Kit at the monorail station.

I almost couldn’t recognize him (cuz his face has become rounder and his hair has become shorter).

Since we had bought the 6pm bus ticket, there wasn’t much time left for K-singing.

So we moved to our next plan - watching movie - Painted Skin.

Again, unfortunately, all strategy seats had been sold out, left only the front corner seats.

Haiz.

We moved to our last plan - meeting Fei at Low Yat. (at the time, he was helping his fren buying laptop)

Fei was another shock to me when I saw him.

Looked at his tummy, so tumorous.

It seems that KL lifestyle was very easeful.

Then, we went to All IT to buy something.

After that, we headed to Shikiya (I’m not sure about the name) – a halal Japanese Restaurant to have our lunch.

The food there was terrible.

The rice was tasteless.

The sweet corn wasn’t sweet, it had a decomposed odor.

One and only advantage was the water refilling service.

Anyway, we had a good time chatting about our recent happenings and gossiping about our former boss.

Again, when come to gossiping our former boss, there was a lot to talk about.

“That FranXX…hobby is torturing new trainee…”
“That DavXX…Still that Sui Yong…”
.
.
.
After having our lunch, we continued our shopping spree.

Finally Herman and I had bought sth that we need.

(Guys checking out the head set tt's just bought.)

Hemm, it's good to meet my buddy again,

Hopefully during our next time gathering, Jena, Cikgu, Hui Teng and Pik Wah also can join.

^.^ PIGLET ^.^

1.10.08

Missed “piglet” so much.

I hadn’t seen this “piglet” since last holiday.

He is so cute as usual, still, he is very very…...naughty (as usual).

After dinner tonight, he asked me if I wanna join him to play candle.

His “invitation” reminded me of my childhood.

I remember that, during my childhood, I was the kind of kid that would keep playing with candle or latern though moon cake festival had passed several days.

I was free at the time, furthermore, I also wanted to recall back my childhood memories.

So, I joined him.

Nowadays, laterns were designed so creatively.

cute face with his heart shape candles.

me and piglet
cute enough to pose for "Child Vogue"
little chef
Overall, this nite really made me recall bac my childhood memories.
