Bye Bye 2008!

Time is ticking, fast and before we knew it the year is coming to a close.

For me myself, I am always scrambling for time as there are so many things I’m trying to finish before 2008 bid me a goodbye.

On the other hand, I’m wondering what meaningful things had I done for this whole year.

Erm…

Well, I have gone through a lot of things for this year – 2008.

#1: Working at Advertising Department in GH,

There were some sweet memories and of course, some “bitter” memories.

I have learned what is called “Office Politic”, how to deal with double-faced people and last but not least, how to protect myself from being exploited.

I have to admit that this bad patch do really widen my very limited vision.

Anyhow, I was glad to make acquaintance of some very nice seniors, supervisors and trainees around that time.

(Advertising Department - My fellow Friends.)

#2: Get my not-so-good STPM result,

Frankly speaking, I felt rather disappointed with my result when I first got it.

“Life isn’t just about EXAM!” as my dear friend, Patricia’s saying goes.

Whenever I thought about this saying, I felt kinda…easy.

So, here, I wanna say “Thank You” to you, Pat.

#3: To further my study in UUM – Sintok, Kedah,

Do you know what is my first reaction when I was told that I was taken by UUM?

I called Utar, asked them about the July Intake, and made a plan to study Actuarial Science in Utar.

Thank God I didn’t make that choice,
Cuz now only I realize that study doesn’t depend on location.

Instead, it depends much on you yourself.

After talking much about my 2008 History, well, I think it’s the time of the year I pen down my list of things I want to achieve for the following year.

Erm…

Let just talk about it next year, cuz I’m very lazy to set goals and achieve them at the moment.

Lastly, I wanna wish everyone who’s reading this blog right now,

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Christmas!

Today is the fabulous Christmas Eve.

And I celebrated with my beloved friends at UUM.

Once after the Com 2 exam, Alex and Keong went to Jitra to buy food for Christmas celebration tonight.

At the same time, they would take the birthday cake that they had ordered at Secret Resipe.
Meaning to say that, someone's birthday falls on the Christmas and we would celebrate her birthday simultaneously with the Christmas Party.

She totally had no idea about it and Alex and Keong wanted to spring a suprise on her.
The party started at 8pm.
However, due to the latecomers (including me), we started it at 9 plus.

Instead of eating turkey and drinking good wine, we had K.F.Chicken and Pepsi Cola as our Christmas meal.

Obviously, it was way affordable for students like us.

Yet, it was a nice Christmas meal.

After the "fabulous" Christmas meal, we played the "123 BIANG!" game.

Losers had to choose to play either "truth" o "dare".
We really got to know each others after the "truth or dare" game.
Time went by.

At 12am on the dot, the birthday cake was taken out...

There she is, our Main Character of the day - Trista!
8 of us.
Hami and I
The guy in green color t-shirt is Nano.
He really looks childish.
Trista and I
By the end of the party, I had a queer sensation as if something was happening, yet I didn't know what was exactly going on.
Keong's kinda upset...Definitely there was something happening between Keong and Alex.
Girl or Money problems?
Probably is the former one.
Anyway, during the gift exchange session, I was glad that I received a Taufu-like saving box from Alex.
Luckily, it wasn't the Luxury Biscuit - by Hami (cuz I think Hami's gift is the worst one among the bunches of gifts).
I'm sorry to say that, Hami.
That's how I celebrated my Christmas this year.
Quite ordinary...yet it's peaceful cuz the celebration just involved few of my friends only.

Car Accident Inside the Forest!

Car accidents can happen in anywhere, even in the forest - UUM.
So, next time when you are driving, think about the picture below, (so that you would pay extra attention).

(I took this pic near the mosque of UUM.)

Happy Belated Birthday, Keong!

18.12.08
To Keong,
Happy Belated Birthday!
Wish you in the year 2009,
Good Health,
Good Appetite,
and wish find your lover soon!

Anecdote of A-Famosa Trip : Last Day

12.12.08

Today was the last day for our trip.
b4 we left, we managed to take as many pics as we could in front of our "house".
Beware the Girls!
Herman vs Jacob!
Ostentation vs Diffidence!

(Best Friends 4ever!)

At 9am, 9 of us, as u can see from the pic, were taxied to the Tampin Bus Terminal.

At 9.3am, from Tampin, we took the Transnational bus back to KL.

Once we had reached the Pudu Bus Terminal, Wai Hou headed to his uncle's house by taking LRT, whereas Fei went bac to Bentong first alone, leaving the other 7 of us in the Petaling Street.

It's freaking nostalgic when I came to Petaling Street.

Cuz this was the place that i used to come for tuition every Friday when I was in Form 6.

Before we left for Bentong, we went to have our lunch in Petaling Street.

It was 4pm when we finally reached Bentong.

The busy schedule hadn't finished yet.

I had to start packing my stuff once i reached home.

At 9 pm, I was taken by Pui Kuan to the Bentong Bus Station and boarded the 9.3pm bus back to UUM.

Finally, I could take a rest inside the bus.

Below is the summing-up of the journey that i had took today :

This had really been a hectic day for me.
And to my Bentong Frens,
C u guys at CNY!

Anecdote of A-famosa Trip: Day 2

11.12.08

It’s hard to imagine that there was so less F&B choices available inside the A-Famosa Resort.

There was nothing to eat when I woke up.

I just made myself a cup of tea to fill up some parts of my stomach first.

While waiting for the others to wake up, I went to swim.

It feels so good to swim in the freezing cold water while your body is being shined by the sunshine.

At 12pm plus, Steven and Bee headed to the town to buy something for everyone to eat.

At the same time, they would buy things that are needed for the BBQ tonight.

At 3.3pm, after having our lunch, 12 persons, excluding Steven and Clara, went to the Water Park by taking the Banana.

Due to some superstitious advices, Clara decided not to join us.

Hence, as her boyfriend, Steven accompanied her.

Playing water in the Water Park tend to expose one’s flaws to the others.

According to rules of Water Park, boys have to wear trunk or beachwear whereas the girls can choose to wear whatever they like.

When the guys had finished changing their clothes, the girls acted like a lecher pointing and discussing the guys’ body NON STOP, especially Miki.

I mean, girls, stop being harsh to the boys.

On the other hand, boys, try to keep your body fit if you dun want to be the laughingstock.
Below I'm going to demonstrate some activities that we had played inside the Water Park:
First, we went to play the High Speed Slides.
This two towering High Speed Slides is the landmark of A’Famosa Water World.
These seven-storey slides really provide a heart-stopping high velocity joyride as you can hurtle down and reach the ground in just a few seconds!
It's just as breathtaking as playing the spaceshot in Genting Highland!
This is the Wave Pool!
Every time the sirens wail, a wave heads toward the shore.
Later on, for something less strenuous, we took a dip in one of the world’s longest Lazy River.
Relaxed on a tube ride as the journey took around the water theme park easily.

(Here we were inside the Water Park!)

At night, we had a BBQ gathering.

It cost us RM300 for a 8 persons BBQ Package.

Unbelievable Expansive!

Anyway, we mixed it with the raw food that we had bought in the morning so that the bbq could afford 14 persons’ stomachs.

(Again, we took some crazy pics.)

Anyhow, this had been a great night.

All night long, we were eating and chatting, having some good time together.

Anecdote of A-Famosa Trip : Day 1

10.12.08

This trip has already been eagerly awaited for several months.

So I felt rather excited when this day finally came.

Early in the morning, 9 of us (Fei, Herman, Pat, Bowie, Clara, Wai Hou, Andy, Wan Sin, and I) took the 7.40 a.m. bus heading for KL.

There were still another 5 persons who were going to join the trip.

They (Chee Hong, Bee, Steven, Kambing and Jia Yu) waited for us at Pudu Bus Terminal.

Again, we had been divided into 2 gangs to go to Melaka.

One was taking the bus while the other one (Clara, Steven, Bee, and Kambing) was going in Steven’s car.

The happy journey started at 10am.

(From KL to Tampin in Melaka)

We finally reached A-Famosa Resort at 12.30pm plus.

Inside A-famosa Resort, every little thing is about money.

Even when you are taking the shuttle bus, which we call it Banana Truck, you have to pay one ringgit for every ride, not to mention the food there.

( This is the so-called Banana Truck that we took.)

We still couldn’t check in when we reached the Check-in Villa at around 1pm.

Dunno what kind of rule is that.

Anyway, before we checked in, we went to the Safari to start our first tour and at the same time, find something to eat.

(Entrance of SAFARI.)

All of us almost starved to death.

When the scene of tons of people scrambling for food came into sight, I almost passed out.

We spent almost 30 minutes plus to buy our lunch.

And I have to say, the food was TERRIBLE and HORRIBLE.

RM12 for a can of soft drink and a plate of chicken rice was totally not worthwhile.

After the terrible lunch, we went to Monkey Island by “sampan-like ferry”.

Bowie, Miki, Wan Sin, Clara, me and Wai Hou in the sampan-like ferry.

There were various type of monkey on the Monkey Island. And this is one of them.
(All of us took a happy-together pic b4 we left the island.)

Then, we proceeded to view the multi animal show.

Watching the show was like watching Sesame Street, obviously it wasn't suitable to our range. Very very BORING!
Here we were inside the showroom.
(Inside the chicken farm.)
We managed to take many photos inside SAFARI.

But most of photos are still with my friend, I havn’t taken from them.

At 4pm plus, we went back to the check-in villa to check in by BANANA.

We rented two villas.

They looked quite nice from inside and outside.
#1 : View from outside the house.
Swimming pool behind the house.
Living Room!
Dining Area - how come u guys played psp at here?

Kitchen with its two ambassadors.
(Little Garden inside the house.)

At 7pm plus, we continued our busy “schedule” by visiting the COWBOY TOWN.

(There were some A-GUAs performing “welcoming dance”. )

There were very few choices of F&B available inside A-Famosa.

Finally, we made up our mind by having dinner at Emperor Restaurant.
Now u c,
now u dun.
(Pat, Herman, Wai Hou and me.)

We finished every little things that we had ordered cuz the food there was very expensive.

All of our necks were kena potong.
As u can c from the pic, we were in Cowboy Town.

The parade and firework were gorgeous.
However, i couldn't snap it clearly cuz it was dark around.

You dun miss it when you come to COWBOY TOWN.

The anecdote of A-Famosa Trip for day1 stopped at 3am (basically it’d already been 2nd day) when all us finally went to sleep.

Happy Reunion ^-^

1.12.08

Regarding the title above,

I’m talking about the gathering today with Herman, Fei, Nobita, Jimmy, Jena, and Hui Teng.

At 11am plus, Herman and I arrived at Timesquare as we had promised.

While waiting for the guys to turn up, we went window-shopping.

Jena was the first to turn up, followed by Hui Teng, Jimmy and Nobita.

And our BIG BROTHER – Fei, was the last one to arrive when all of us was having our lunch in Da Men (Japanese Restaurant located in Low Yat).

While waiting for our meals to be served, we chatted to catch up on each other’s news.

After our lunch, we went to SEED in SG.WANG to have a look at the “very cheap clothes” (claimed by Jimmy).

Christmas Sales were everywhere.

It’s worthwhile buying clothes now.

So, as a SMART CONSUMER, I didn’t hesitate to try on the clothes and buy some.

(To my sister who is reading this blog right now,
I’m not wasting money on some unnecessary clothes,
I’m buying it for the CNY.)

After the shopping spree, we headed to the Timesquare again.

We intended to watch movie.

However, due to some reasons, we ended up “Yam Cha”ing in Gasoline.

Game that we played inside Gasoline.
I’m not sure what it was called in English.

The actual fun of the whole games was coming from Hui Teng.

She was not very good at removing and balancing the blocks.

So, she lost 3 out of 5 games.

I mean……very “impressive”, Hui Teng!

Our gathering come to an end at 4.3pm plus.

(Pic that we took b4 we left.)

I had a lot fun today.

Though I dunno why it’s so difficult for us to plan a nice schedule early,
but thanks God,
the not-so-planned gathering turned out to be more amusing than I thought.

“Final”ly, it’s over!

25.11.08

My last paper – Introduction to Accounting Principle took place today.

This whole week, I seemed to “live for” this paper.

The day before the exam, I couldn’t help myself to stop thinking about my “after-the-exam schedule”.

It kept frustrating my attempt to do my revision.

Anyhow, I carried it through.

Concerning the paper this time, I have probably screwed it up.

cuz the questions were so tough and tricky.

Even the accounting students think the questions were tough.

Anyway, I have nth to repent of cuz I have already tried my best.

To celebrate the finished final exam, we went to Kuala Perlis to try the well-known seafood meal.

We rented two “kereta sapu” cuz there were 10 of us, including Jun, Jian Ning, Hong, Hami, Boon, Hua, Chun, The Dog, and one Dun-know-wat-his-name-is.

During the journey, we had a slight “accident”.

One of our cars was running out of gas.

So damned funny!

In order to “save” the car, the other car had to go to the nearest petrol station to buy petrol.

Luckily, problem was solved soon after the petrol was bought.

None of us was familiar with the road to KP.

So again, it was very lucky for us to reach our destination safe and sound.

The restaurant was called Hai-Tien (Sea-Sky).

My first impression of it was shabby and dilapidated.

It seemed as if it’s going to shatter anytime.

However, the food there was exceptionally delicious.

(Food we’ve ordered.)

The fried You-Tiao was the most delicious one.

Thinking of it now made me drool.

(We took pic after the excellent meal!)

Jun was taking the Da Bau.

We reached our hostel at around 10pm.

What a tiring day!
