Last month, my sis got back from Sabah.
Coincidentally, my 2nd sis and I were in holidays too.
So, we (included my mum) decided to go for a short trip in Kemaman.
(For ur information, Kemaman is located in Terangganu)
It's been a long time since I visited Kemaman in Form 3 six yrs ago.
I found that things in here really havn't changed all that much.
I still can remember where my uncle's old house is.
Is that a sign of good memory or a sign of slow developement in Kemaman?
I'm not sure abt tt.
But what is certain is that I'm quite fond of this little town.
This town has its own "culture" and style of living.
Well, I like it bcuz :
firstly, the beach lifestyle over there.
Since Cherating Beach is quite near the town (within an hour drive of the town), the people here live a beach lifestyle.
Honestly, I quite keen on this kind of lifestyle.
U can go for a breezy walk, take a refreshing dip in the sea or even take a sunbath (if you think u r not tanned enuf) anytime u wan.
It has totally captured the Lifestyle of "The O.C.".
The only thing different perhaps is the cleanliness between the the O.C. Beach and the Cherating Beach.(Cherating Beach is not really clean.)
Anyway, here come the second thing I like about Kemaman,
the tea drinking habit.
Of course it's not the herbal tea I mean.
Drinking coffee is what I mean.
In Kemaman, you can see a lot of kopitiams, which most of them have same approach to the decoration, just like the Old Town's.
The Hai Peng,
It's like the Starbuck in Kemaman.
The place was congested with people when we arrived.
Seem like the business is running well in here.
You can see all these antique things inside the shop.
The creepy happening took place when I was walking towards the backyard to have a look at the small Great Wall.
Firstof all, you have to take a look at the picture below:
C the old man inside the picture?
Well, he is the one who freaked me out when I was walking towards the backyard.
Dun u think the poster has created an effect that make the old man seem like a late old man who had passed away centuries ago.
You know, the old man's just sitting right in front of the small Great Wall when I stepped into the backyard.
N I gave him a "Oh, My God! Did I just see a ghost?" reaction.
But...luckily soon I could prove he is a living person, cuz he just opened his mouth n talked to one of the workers there.
Sound really silly.
Anyway, the coffee there isn't good at all.
It can't mention in the same breath as the coffee you find in Bentong.
I would rather recommend Kemaman Station (the other kopitiam in Kemaman) instead of Hai Peng.
I just dun understand why Hai Peng is so famous in Kemaman.
The third, which is oso the last thing I like about Kemaman is the seafood cook here.
Just let the following pics talk:
Best crab I ever ate.
Tom Yam Fish.
Fish Mee.
They wont look delicious, but trust me, they really tasted good.
