For the last 2 weeks and 3 days, I have been bc working at Padini Authentic in Genting Highland.
I have to admit that working as a sale promoter at PA (Padini Authentic) wasn't easy at all.
There are a hell of a lot of rules and regulations for the shop.
And the person in charge just couldn't stop asking me to give superior customer service to the incoming and outgoing customers.
Sometimes I felt my mouth didn't belong to me.
It just became "natural" for my mouth to pop out the words "Welcome" and "Thank You, Bye" whenever there is someone coming to or going out of the shop.
WARs always happen in here.
You will know exactly what i mean by "WARs" when you c me dealing with those Aunties.
To me, aunties are like TRANSFORMERS.
They will automatically transform into a horrifying DIGGING MACHINES whenever they approach the 50% Offer Bins.
They just can't help digging n digging the clothes until they find one to their liking.
Of course, I have to fold the clothes finely and quickly like a maniac.
The scene at the 50% offer bins is like the battlefield between Aunties and Sale Promoters.
Anyway, I learned something important from my working place.
That is how to be brave and confident to talk to someone.
I was demanded by the Person in Charge to introduce our clothing lines and promotions available to every customer.
You just can't be shy and gotta be brave to open you mouth to talk to the customers.
Confidence is essential,
especially when you are facing with the Singaporean customers.
They are really demanding and aren't afraid to complain whenever they find something unsatisfactory about the shop.
It's not easy to satisfy these customers, but the hard work really pay off when the customers smile back and say thank you to you.
As with any living and work environment change there are always tradeoffs.
This time, I lost my freedom in my work schedule, and the time to rest and sleep,
yet I gained new working experiences, and new colleagues and frens.
